With the release and ongoing support of Hatsune Miku’s mobile game Project Sekai (Color Palette in the West), fans of the mainline series have been left wondering whether Miku has made its last appearance on console.
When the Steam version of Megamix+ arrived earlier this year, it came with an unexpected surprise—a new DLC pack featuring an astounding 72 songs! Just two months later, and Nintendo Switch players are treated to the same DLC, branded as “DLC Bundle 3” to match the previous two DLC installments.
Join us on Honey’s Anime today as we’re reviewing this new DLC for the Hatsune Miku Project Diva MegaMix!
The DLC Bundle 3 (or Additional Song Pack for our PC player) 2017 title is packed with 72 tunes from Project Diva Future Tones. There’s so much more to old-school Miku, including fan-favorites like “Senbonzakura,” “Dramatization,” “Butterfly on Your Right Shoulder,” “Iroha Uta” and more!
With this latest DLC pack, Project Diva Megamix has expanded its song roster to 250 songs. If you’re playing on the Nintendo Switch, you can buy the new DLC in various smaller packs, though it’s overall cheaper to buy a bundle. Either way, it’s great value for money compared to previous DLC, and is the only rhythm game DLC in general.
Gameplay is as fast as ever on our Nintendo Switch OLED, although we’ve heard there are still some stuttering issues on the Steam version of the game, possibly due to Denuvo DRM.
Almost all music videos have been recreated for Megamix, so your adapted characters will be perfectly preserved and looking their best. There’s so much new content that you’ll need to free up a massive amount of storage—20GB of new songs and videos come in the DLC!
