The film didn’t perform as expected in the Hinid mass circuits and has earned around Rs 10 crore nett on day one, reports Boxofficeindia. ‘Vikram Vedha’ saw a strong trend in West Bengal, Nizam / Andhra and Mysore on its first day, but North, West and Central India scored low. If the film manages to sail through Monday, then ‘Vikram Vedha’ has a lot of scope for growth post Dussehra.
‘Vikram Vedha’ is a remake of a Tamil film by the same name, it featured Vijay Sethupathi and R Madhavan in the lead roles. Speaking about comparisons with Vijay Sethupathi, Hrithik had said, “There is nothing I can do about it. I have done my part. The only thing in my control is to do my best. That’s all. There’s a prayer I say every day: ‘give me the courage to change what things I can, serenity to accept what cannot be changed, and the insight to know the difference’. Once I know that, I am content.” While Saif had praised Madhavan’s performance in the original Tamil film and said, “Somebody told me something once. We are called stars, and there is a whole galaxy of them. And the reason there are so many is that everyone is different. So, I hope I am able to bring an interesting take on it.”
