The film collected around Rs 5.50 crore on Monday as per trade website boxofficeindia.com. It saw a drop of under 50 percent which ain’t bad but the film was expected to do better since the weekend numbers weren’t that big for a film of this structure. With this, the total collection of the film after day 4 is around Rs 43 crore nett.
As per trade, the film should have had a drop of not more than 30 percent for it to sustain a good run at the box office. But now, all eyes are on the Dussehra holiday. One hopes that the evening shows of the film do better on Wednesday. But due to the ongoing Navratri, not many people are flocking to the theaters. Hence, perhaps, hopefully the post-Dussehra weekend turns out to be good for the film.
Yet, with these numbers coming in, a 100 crore nett looks difficult for ‘Vikram Vedha’. The collection of the film in areas like Gujarat aren’t good and it’s only managed to get business in major cities and multiplexes.
This Friday sees the release of Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer ‘Goodbye’ so, it may be posing some competition if it starts getting a good word of mouth.
